SUPPORTING THE NEEDS OF REFUGEES IN OUR COMMUNITY*

 

Through November 20
It’s the opportunity to meet the tangible needs of refugees in the Sacramento area.* We plan to provide support through food donations, gift cards & soccer gear purchased with your monetary donations, and fill & distribute “Welcome Baskets” directly to refugee families loaded with the items mentioned above. WAYS TO DONATE

 

FOOD ITEMS

Donate culture-specific food items such as dry and canned goods. Bring items to LifePointe and place in marked donation bins around the building through November 20.

MONETARY DONATIONS

Your donation goes towards the purchase of gift cards for clothing, food, and for soccer equipment. These items go directly to refugee families.

10am-12pm on Saturday, November 20
Assemble welcome baskets at LifePointe. Stick around from 12-1pm for a free lunch provided by Starting Point.

WELCOME BASKETS – ASSEMBLY & DELIVERY

10am-4pm on Saturday, November 20
Assemble welcome baskets at LifePointe, then coordinate the delivery of the baskets to refugee families. Lunch provided.

Afghan missionaries Josh & Cristy Laya serve under Capital Community Athletics. The Layas run a soccer program for refugees based in the Carmichael area.

Starting Point for Refugee Children

A ministry dedicated to supporting newly-arrived refugee children in the Greater Sacramento area.
