About The Gift of Groceries (TGOG)
LifePointe works closely with New Hope Church in South Sacramento to provide volunteer manpower for their Gift of Groceries ministry. With the help of 170 volunteer hours/week, TGOG provides free food for approximately 300-400 needy families in our community, every Thursday at New Hope.
In 2020, in the midst of COVID, this ministry served over 48,000 people with over 1 million pounds of groceries. LifePointe volunteers delivered over 44 tons (or 90,000 lbs) of those groceries last year.
We are always looking for volunteers for this ministry!
