What is an Intentional Influencer?

Each of us has a unique “sphere of influence” (SOI) — people we interact with, talk to, or cross paths with regularly who do not yet know Jesus.

As intentional influencers, we fuse intentionality into our existing rhythms and routines focusing on 3 areas:

LINK WITH…. LOVE ON…. LIFT UP….

LINK WITH…others.

Take what you are already doing and invite someone to join you! What activities or sports are you or your kids in right now? Be intentional and invite those in your life who don’t yet know Jesus to join you.

    • Hit the Farmer’s Market: EG has one every Saturday! Get the grocery shopping done together, win-win! City of Elk Grove Farmers Market
    • Catch a Family Flick at the Park on 5/2 and 5/30:  A fun, free way to spend time together and entertain the kiddos! Movies in the Park

LOVE ON…those around you.

Have you stopped to look around at who God has placed in your life?

  • Coworkers
  • Classmates
  • Neighbors
  • Kids’ coaches & teachers, as well as other parents
  • People you interact with on a regular basis (i.e. barista at your favorite coffee shop

Who are you “C”ing? It’s all too easy to go through life with our heads down focused on our personal concerns and unaware of those around us. Take the time to engage with others and practice the three “C”s.

    • Be Curious: Ask them about their week, their family, their likes, etc.

    • Check-in: Be genuine when you ask how they are doing. Follow-up on things they have told you about.

    • Celebrate: Commemorate and acknowledge any achievements or special events in their lives. Be present and mindful of their joys so you can be available and congratulate them on their wins!

SHOW THEM A LITTLE LOVE with a card or small gift just to let them know you are thinking of them and include one of our Eater Services invite cards if given the opportunity! (Available at the Connection Hub)

And if you want a simple way to let kindness bloom, grab our spring tag to add to a bag of seeds or potted plant and brighten someone’s day.
