What is The Story?

The Bible as One Continuing Story of God and His People.

The Story takes you on an unforgettable journey through the Bible. Presented in a seamless, chronological format, this book helps you experience Scripture as one overarching narrative—God’s incredible plan of redemption, woven through history.

The Story will be a 31-week (August through May) church-wide journey that will include sermons on Sundays, personal reading and accompanying study guide, and Story Groups (small groups). We are excited to go on this journey together and see how God uses it to transform our hearts and lives!

How will The Story benefit me?

A great way to pursue personal growth!

Like most great things, you’re going to get out what you put in. So, to get the most out of this experience we recommend that you attend on Sundays, buy the book, keep up with the reading, and join a Story Group (small group) where you can wrestle with all that you’re learning while building faith-filled relationships.

A Story for the Whole Family

LP Students

LP Students will join the rest of our church family in walking through The Story together. Throughout the school year, we’ll journey through the entire story of Scripture, reading the same chapter each week as the adults and creating opportunities for meaningful conversations at home.

During our 9:45am Student Service, we’ll explore each week’s reading through two important lenses. Our teaching will focus on the Upper Story – God’s plan of redemption, His character, and how all of Scripture points to Jesus. Around our discussion tables, students will dive into the Lower Story, discovering what these events meant for the people who lived them and how God’s Word Shapes our lives today.

Our goal is for students to not only know the stories of the Bible, but to understand the Story of the Bible and see how their own story fits within God’s greater story.

To get the most from this journey, we encourage every student to have a copy of The Story Bible and The Story Study Guide for personal Study throughout the week and richer discussion each Sunday.

LP Kids

In LP Kids, kids will explore the same Bible story that’s being taught in the adult service each Sunday-presented in a fun, engaging, and age-appropriate way. We love creating opportunities for the whole family to grow together, so parents and kids can continue the conversation long after Sunday is over. By learning the same Biblical truths, families can encourage one another, ask meaningful questions, and build faith together throughout the week.
