Work Day & BBQ – Voyagers

Join the Voyagers* 50+ group for a GREAT opportunity for you to serve our brothers and sisters at New Hope Community Church. New Hope is our church partner in the Gift of Groceries Ministry, and they are a small congregation. We will be joining them for a Work Day at their campus followed by a BBQ provided by our Voyagers group.

Location of New Hope: 1821 Meadowview Rd, Sacramento, CA 95832

Some possible projects we’ll be doing:

• Pressure wash courtyard and louvers
• Clean tables
• Wash line markings in the parking lot
• Clean out sheds (owners of sheds to be present to supervise)
• Deep Clean Bathrooms and Childcare Room
• Small Painting projects
• Small repair projects

Voyagers’ Leadership will provide snacks, water, hamburgers/hot dogs for lunch.  We ask that you bring the below food per your last name to complete the lunch menu:

• A-G:     Salad
• H-L:     Chips
• M-Z:    Desserts

You do not have to bring your own tools.  If you have a “special” talent or ability, such as construction or painting experience, that you would be willing to use please let Doug Craig know by texting him at 916-769-6122.  We will have projects that can be done for all levels of physical ability. If you feel you can’t help do the physical work, you can still come and help supervise and join us for the BBQ. We hope to have a large turn out to support New Hope.
