Help Kinder–12th grade children in the Elk Grove/Sacramento area begin the new school year prepared, by providing them with school supplies! LifePointe is partnering with Starting Point for Refugee Children* and Stanford Sierra Youth & Families’ Wonder Mentoring Program.**

This nonprofit organization is dedicated to supporting newly-arrived refugee children in the greater Sacramento area. They strive to give them a warm welcome by providing basic necessities and programs as they begin their new lives in the U.S. Starting Point is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, run 100% by volunteers.

**About SSYAF’s Wonder Mentoring Program
This program matches children and youth impacted by foster care, with one-to-one, caring, consistent adult mentors. These “Wonder Guides” are trained to listen, support, and guide a child through fun, age-appropriate experiences in music, the arts, sports, volunteer service, dining out, and nature. A Wonder Guide may be the most consistent adult a child in care has in their lives.
