“Follow me as I follow Christ”
Discipling the believer to become "a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of Truth" II Tim 2:15
Mission Statement
Before Jesus Christ ascended into the heavens above, he gave humanity this great commission found in Matthew 28: 19-20. "GO THEREFORE AND MAKE DISCIPLES OF ALL NATIONS, BAPTIZING THEM IN THE NAME OF THE FATHER AND OF THE SON AND OF THE HOLY SPIRIT, TEACHING THEM TO OBSERVE ALL THINGS THAT I HAVE COMMANDED YOU; AND LO, I AM WITH YOU ALWAYS, EVEN TO THE END OF THE AGE."
Our ministry strives to yield to this great command. And our hope and prayer would be to inspire you to become a vital part of Christ's great Commission.
At Lifepointe, we firmly believe in, and encourage, authentic and genunine relationships to help each other become all that God has called us to be. To this end, once an individual accepts the Lord Jesus Christ as his/her personal savior, the next choice to make involves whether to follow and be obedient to Jesus Christ or not! LifePointe’s Discipleship Ministry focuses on growing Christians into mature believers who will walk daily in the power of God. Discipleship involves the process of facilitating growth and development of another believer through mentoring, with the desired result of a transformed life in Christ
LDM has ministry phases that aide in this process:
o Worshiping God
o Tending one's spiritual life
o Being a student of scripture and of the Christian faith
o Rendering service to God and others
o Developing one's personal gifts
