Hope & Compassion

Our Hope & Compassion Ministries are all about helping every person grow a heart of compassion, so that they can bring hope to people in need. In order to accomplish this, we look to develop strategic partnerships globally and locally. In addition, we look for opportunities to care for those who are hurting in our own congregation.

Globally
On a global scale, each spring we take a missions trip to Tecate, Mexico to provide housing for people who can't accomplish this basic task on their own. Meeting this tangible need also affords us the opportunity to share the good news of Jesus with the local community. It is a highlight of our year, as we see dramatic life and heart changes happen before our eyes.

Locally
The local communities of Elk Grove and Sacramento also afford us many opportunities to grow our heart of compassion as we spread hope. We partner with a number of organizations such as Love INC - Sacramento, The Food Bank of Elk Grove, Bread of Life and Courage House. Their close proximity affords us greater opportunity to serve on regular basis.

Congregational Care
All of us have been at the end of our ropes from time to time. LifePointe is committed to meeting real needs for our congregation in times of crisis. One way we do this is through the Gift of Groceries ministry, where people can receive free groceries to help them through a rough patch. We also provide meals to help during times of physical impairment, bereavement or other crises. If we look at our own congregation with seeing eyes, we can often find someone we can reach out to with the heart of Jesus.
